Have you seen this polygamist?

We aired the show, Polygamy, on the 18th of March discussing in detail the abuses suffered by the wives and children of polygamists. And now, the FBI has added a polygamist to its “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list.

His name is Warren Jeffs and get a good look at him. There is a reward of $100,000 for information leading directly to his arrest.

He is a former school teacher and known as a leader and "prophet" of a polygamous sect called the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints (FLDS). Jeffs is estimated to have more than 10,000 supporters. Additionally, the FLDS has established communities of followers in Hilldale, Utah, and Colorado City, Arizona. Jeffs, who has not been seen by anyone outside the FLDS since approximately 2004, travels with a number of loyal and armed bodyguards.

Jeffs is charged with with a felony count of "sexual conduct with a minor" for allegedly performing marriages in Mohave County Arizona and a related conspiracy charge for his part in officiating a "celestial marriage" between a 16-year-old girl and a polygamous 28-year-old man. In April, Jeffs was charged in Washington County, Utah, with two felony counts of "rape as an accomplice," for allegedly performing another marriage that led to illegal sex between an underage girl and an older man.

He is suspected of hiding in safe houses at properties the sect owns throughout the West, as well as in Canada and Mexico. If you have any information regarding this suspect do not call local law enforcement, call the FBI.
