Well the long awaited results of Terri Schiavo’s autopsy are back. Seeing the results Governor Bush now has questions regarding how long her husband took to call for help. He has asked Bernie Mc Cabe our State’s attorney to look into the matter.

OK….fair enough after all Jeb Bush is the governor and he perhaps he truly wants to make sure that no stone has been left unturned. But isn’t this the same governor who wants to tear through death row appeals at light speed so the state can throw the switch at the earliest possible moment and doesn’t want those pesky DNA results gumming up the works.

I know you are probably asking yourself why would a governor who thinks all life is precious discriminate as to whose life but he does. I don’t know why and I’d rather leave that question for Jeb and his Maker.

But while he is in his CSI mode why doesn’t he also re-open the investigation into allegations of voter fraud in the 2004 election. If he’s in a real inquisitive mood and seeking justice how about reviewing every police shooting we’ve seen throughout Florida the past ten years that have all been deemed justified or if that’s not a big enough challenge how about looking into the 1923 Rosewood Massacre?

The bottom line is that I can see no realistic way for Bernie McCabe to issue an indictment against Michael Schiavo but the fact is that Jeb hopes that his calling for an investigation will hopefully play well in 2008. That is the one and only reason for his doing so. It sure isn’t out of any sense of justice.
