Florida Kinship Center annual conference
The Florida Kinship Center at the University of South Florida will

In Florida alone there are over 345,000 children being raised by grandparents and other relatives. Some of the challenges that kinship caregivers face include locating financial and affordable legal assistance, respite care, mental health services and affordable housing. Additionally, may caregivers face difficulties in enrolling their grandchildren in school or obtaining medical services due to informal arrangements with biological parents.
To respond to the needs of and issues facing these families, the Florida Kinship Center was established in 1998. Through innovative programs, services and partnerships, the Florida Kinship Center helps support kinship caregivers, children and the entire kinship family. To register please call the Warmline at 1-800-640-6444 or register online at www.flkin.org. Hurry seating is limited.
