Budget met with grins, grimaces
With visions of President Bush landing on an aircraft carrier and announcing “mission accomplished” I saw this article about the close of the recent session of the house and senate in Florida and how proud the legislators were to come under budget.
Make no mistake…balancing the budget at the expense of the poor, children awaiting adoption, the sick and mentally ill as well as the elderly was mean spirited and yet miraculously they managed to find money to build more prison beds.
