The New York Post recently ran a story about 5,000 active and retired
FDNY employees receiving medical treatment for injuries and illnesses
connected to the World Trade Center attacks. Among those treated, 3,000
are receiving emotional counseling, and another 1,500 have respiratory
ailments. How many more emergency responders traveled from across North
America to work at Ground Zero or the Pentagon only to later develop
respiratory ailments or cancers?
