FETC offers assistance to children, adolescents and adults with
personal problems ranging from family and life adjustment difficulties
to stress reactions and mental illness.
Services includes:
Immediate Evaluation & Assessment
Counseling
Individual and Group Therapy
Medication management
Appointment with Community Resources
Aftercare Follow-Up Services
Ryan White Funding

FETC’s provides Substance Abuse and Mental Health Counseling. Persons
eligible for Ryan White funding can receive substance abuse and mental
health counseling at the Family Emergency Treatment Center in St.
Petersburg. Ryan White funding provides services for persons and
their loved ones who are living with the HIV virus or AIDS
FETC also provides an alternative resource for the law enforcement
officer who has an individual who does not meet Baker Act criteria yet
is in need of mental health interventions. An alternative to costly,
time-consuming and many times inappropriate treatment options such as
hospital emergency rooms, crisis units and jails.
FETC’s goal is to improve the quality of life for the individual by
providing an individual treatment prior to their condition
deteriorating and allowing them to remain with family and friends in
their community.
